This section collects recorded surgical cases — complex cataract, corneal transplantation and anterior segment reconstruction — presented step by step with commentary on the decisions taken during each operation.

Band keratopathy

The full technique, from corneal epithelial debridement through to the application of dipotassium EDTA that dissolves the calcium deposits and restores corneal clarity.
PKP
Penetrating keratoplasty following fungal keratitis
Severe fungal keratitis left corneal scarring and structural compromise. The graft is combined with iris repair to address the damage to the anterior segment, while the patient's own crystalline lens is preserved.
DMEK
reDMEK in a congenital glaucoma case with a Paul Glaucoma Implant
Endothelial decompensation after an earlier DMEK, in an eye already carrying a Paul glaucoma implant. The altered anterior segment and the drainage device are what make graft handling difficult here.

DALK

Where the big bubble will not form — as in macular dystrophy — grip and rip is a dependable alternative. The pull is directed towards the perforation, and the periphery is then dissected with care.
